
The World Harmony Society Inc is organising a Harmony Day Festival on the 23rd of March 2013, Saturday at Robelle Domain, Springfield Central to celebrate the multi-culturalism of the Springfield community. Similarly, Springfield Marketplace's shops have a similar multi-cultural culture with a Kiwi bakery, Island cafe and Malaysian and Chinese Restaurant.
The Harmony Day Festival is held from 3pm- 9pm with free entry to multi-cultural performances and martial arts demonstrations. Opening ceremony is at 5.30pm with a lion dance to open the festivities. There is also a chilli eating contest for the brave, free face painting and fun rides for children. At 8.30pm, be prepared to be wowed by the spectacular fireworks delight and fascinating sound and light shows at 7pm and 9pm. All profits benefit Disaster Victims through the Ipswich Mayor’s Flood Appeal.
